According to the Luuka Resident District Commissioner, the HIV / AIDS prevalence in Luuka district is at 7% which calls for more emphasis in organizing HIV / AIDS awareness and sensitization meeting in various communities in Luuka and Busoga sub region at large.

Hope for Orphans Organization-Luuka organizes HIV / AIDS awareness campaigns at quarterly basis (after 4 months) due inadequate funding for the awareness campaigns.

During awareness, all adolescent children, single mothers, guardians and members from surrounding communities receive guidance on life skills to help young people reach their potential and offer parent-adolescent discussion on sexual and reproductive health issuers including HIV/ AIDS.

We call upon partners to join in sponsoring our sensitization campaigns in order to reach out to many people in Busoga sub region with an aim of reducing on the scourge in the region and Country at large.
