Clean and safe water project
There is one water well at the entire village where these children and other residents go to fetch water for domestic use, others collect water and drink it directly without boiling it or purifying it.
The other water source of a borehole broke down and it’s no longer in use but surprisingly water from the well is prone to contamination and when it rains, dirty rain water flows direct to the well since its in a swamp leaving no chance for residents to fetch clean water but draw dirty water which makes them contract water borne diseases like typhoid, dysentery, diarrhea, cholera and stomach diseases among others.
Most of the children walk longer distances after school to go and fetch water and at some water sources; animals also drink water from the same water sources.
We call upon good Samaritans to support our program in order to provide clean and safe water for domestic use by constructing more boreholes in communities where provision of clean water is still a challenge.
Your support is always welcome and thanks for having a heart to help the needy in Luuka and Uganda at large.
