It has been seven months since the devastating fire that ravaged our orphanage, leaving us with nothing but ashes and rubble. The orphanage was more than just a building. It was a home and a safe haven for the children. The fire brought tears to the children and staff, everyone was heartbroken and felt helpless, it seemed like all hope was lost.
But as the news of the fire spread, somethings amazing happened. We saw the hand of God at work. Generous people came together to help in a way that only God could orchestrate.
As Christians, we know that we are not alone in times of trouble. We know that God is our rock, our refuge, and our redeemer. And in aftermath of the destruction, we saw God’s faithfulness on display.
Donor, volunteers, and community members came from all walks of life rallied around us, offering their support, time and resources.
As we rebuilt our orphanage, we were reminded of the promise in Isaiah 61:3 “To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, a festive praise instead of despair”. We saw this promise fulfilled as our friends came together to support us.
Today, our orphanage is once again a thriving community filled with laughter, love, and healthy. Our staff are proud of what we have accomplished together.
We want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed and prayed to our rebuilding efforts. Your support, time, and resources helped us to turn a devastating tragedy into a hopeful and inspiring story of resilience and determination.
We give all the glory to God who is the Author of hope and the restorer of all things
