Prosy, age 16, has waited for a sponsor since Hope for Orphans Organization Luuka opened in 2017. She was unable to complete secondary school due to a lack of sponsorship but has recently been blessed with the opportunity to learn a trade skill through the donations of a few kind hearted individuals.
Prosy now walks to her tailorship program daily for training and comes home to her mother and little sister each night. She is learning a skilled trade that will support her in the future. She is the first in her family to learn such a trade. Prosy is overwhelmed by the love and support of others and what this will mean for her future. She is excited to learn her trade and attend the tailoring and design program.
Thanks to the generous donations of Ms. Louise and Ms. Darcy, Prosy has begun her training at the Luuka Tailoring and Fashion Design Trade School. At the end of this one year program she will have a certificate in tailoring and the skills for a life long career. She attends the program with over 15 other students enrolled from 9am to 5pm on weekdays.
Prosy will be the first in her family to obtain a certificate or have a trade skill. This allows her to have a career and sustainable income for her future and to help support her mom and sister now. Prosy is excited for this opportunity and everyone in the HOOL family is really proud of her. Prosy enrolled in the program Feb 12th and started training Feb 15th.
