“Where there is hope, there is faith. Where there is faith, miracles happen.”

Hello HOOL Family!!  We are so excited to bring you an update on everything that has been happening recently!

HOOL was blessed with special visitors over the holidays, Rachael and her family came all the way here from the United States!  Rachael is one of our partners/directors here at HOOL and is sponsor mom to our boy Gift.

The children all enjoyed getting to know each other, sharing each other’s languages, spending all their hours together, playing games, reading, hiding in the shade, swinging, walking, and laughing! Our dear visitors brought us dolls, first aid kits, clothes and other amazing items for our children and staff here at HOOL!  They as well learned much more of our way of living; washing clothes in buckets with soap bars, living without indoor plumbing or electricity, cooking over charcoal or fire, best ways to keep mosquitoes out of nets, and more. So many lessons and so much joy.  Thank you Rachael and family!!

We were also blessed with a beautiful celebration for Christmas, love and joy was had by all.  Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this possible, we couldn’t be more grateful.

Uganda also lifted restrictions so children were able to return to school.  School is such an important part of life to the children here, it could mean flourishing or facing a life long struggle with poverty instead.  Students in Uganda have few choices when it comes to education. The sponsored children at Hope for Orphans currently pay tuition for boarding schools while the unsponsored children are unable to attend school at all. The cost of tuition, uniforms and school supplies is too great for most Ugandan families. Government schools in rural areas are often require children to walk for miles to reach and are so poorly funded that they often meet under a large tree and share sparse resources.

Due to this continued struggle we have decided to proceed with starting a school right here at the center.  This is a dream we have had for the children for some time and we are excited to move forward with completion.  Please open the following link for more details and share with your family and friends,  this is a big ask for our HOOL family but we are hopeful that God will provide!  We would like to give a special thank you to Lea Savage for her dedication to this project, we have already accomplished so much because of her love and support.

If you are looking for ways to support our organization please consider the following.  We are always in great need and we understand that it takes a village.  Together we can improve the lives of so many children.  Please consider helping us on this mission, thank you and God Bless!

[[ BIG ASK $650  ]]

We still haven’t been able to complete the bathrooms for the center, this has been an ongoing struggle that we have failed to collect funds for.  Our original restroom area has become unsafe and it is important that we see this project through as soon as we can.

[[ ESSENTIAL NEEDS ]]

Our every day needs to keep things running smoothly are the basics ~ School fees, Food, Firewood.  Right now we are in dire need of $100 to purchase more firewood, this is essential to HOOL because we do not have electricity.  Thank you to everyone who contributes to these basic, yet so important every day needs.

A special thank you also to everyone who contributed to helping Prossy, we have reached our goal for her!  Your support and love is going to change her life, may God bless you always!

“And blessed is she who believed that there would be fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” ~ Luke 1:45

Letters, Love and Giggles ~ what more could we ask for?   What a blessing these children and all of you are to us all!!
