A Tragedy for Little Jessie

**UPDATE**

Jessie has received his medical tests and has been sponsored.

Jessie, who is 9-years-old, has been part of our HOOL program for one-year now, but recently tragedy hit this child’s life again. He is no stranger to tragedy, as he has already lost his father to AIDS and been abandoned by his mother who is also HIV positive.  The other day, Jessie ran to the orphanage in tears to retell us how he had just been chased away by his step-grandfather.  Now homeless, we had no choice but to have him join the children who now live in the orphanage. On an already tight budget, this is causing a new issue: A need for more funding. This precious child needs an education and we’re always in need for more funding for food for these children. We buy things like maize (corn meal), rice, and Silver Cyprinid fish and try to keep it stocked to feed them, but with each additional child, it runs low quicker.  Also, during the times we’ve spent with Jessie we noticed he doesn’t seem to hear well. That combined with our suspicion that he was either born with or contacted HIV after birth leads us to believe we need to have some medical tests done on him. If God is putting it on your heart to donate towards this child’s needs, please click here to help fund Jessie’s education ($120), click here to help us continue feeding those who are living at the orphanage, or click here to help with sweet Jessie’s medical tests ($50 for a hearing test and $10 for a HIV test).
