Nanangwe Winnie is a sweet little girl who currently lives with her Grandmother.  She does not have a father as she was conceived from rape and her mother lives with mental illness and is unable to care for her.    **Updaate** Winnie is showing slow improvements and is really loving her new baby doll she was gifted for Christmas.

Dabasadha AbuduRahman

Dabasadha AbuduRahman is currently living with his Grandmother near the orphanage.  His father was a fisherman who drown three years ago.  Following his death he was abandoned by his mother who has not been seen since.  He appears to be about seven years old and has little hope to ever experiencing schooling and an education.

Jovia Kisakye

Jovia. She became part of our Gonza House Family when she was 5 years old. Jovia She is a lovely little girl. she is affectionate and tender. Her big smile will worm your heart.

Ryan Muwanguzi

RYAN Arrive at Gonza House in 2021 after suffering a horrible Burn that almost took his life. He seem shy at first, once he become familiar with you he shower you with hugs and  adorable smiles.

Nakato and Babirye

Nakato and Babirye are twin sisters who are just five years old.  After their father passed away they were abandoned by their mother and are now living with their grandmother.  She is currently an elderly widow caring for several other children she is already struggling to provide for.  They are new to Gonza House and are in a very desperate situation.  Update**  Nakato and Babirye are now staying full time at Gonza House and after some medical attention and extra love from their sponsor family are slowly starting to improve.  Their birth date is a special date set by their sponsor family and they are very loved and celebrated.

Nabirye Sharaha

Sharaha has lost both of her parents, her mother in 2016 to HIV and her father (HIV positive in his sleep)  in 2018. She has 8 siblings and is currently living with her sister aunt who is unable to provide for her basic needs (education/clothing/food etc).  She is just four years old in this desperate situation and in need of support from a loving sponsor family. **Updated** Sharaha has been feeling very loved by her sponsor family as well, things are improving for her so much!

Joy Kaligana

Joy Kaligana has recently lost her mother.  She lives with her father but is under the care of Gonza House because he is unable to provide for her basic needs due to poverty.   She loves dancing and spending her weekends at the orphanage.

Morgan Kakwikiri

Morgan lives between school and the orphanage and is under the care of Gonza House. He has lost his father in an accident and his mother during childbirth and is a total orphan.  He is very kind and loves to help out with the animals.

Gift kivumbi

Gift joined Gonza House at 8 years. He was abandoned near police station by his uncle after the death of his parents. Gonza House led by compassionate directors Tonny and Eddy picked him up. After many months of caring and Godly love by everyone at Gonza House and sponsor, Gift gained his happiness. He is now in school learning new things as he aims to achieve his goal of becoming a doctor.

Mercy Mukose

Mercy is often called the “Princess of HOOL” (after our former name Hope for Orphans Organization Luuka – HOOL). She has lost her father due to TB. He was a great supporter of the orphanage and family to us as well. Our organization and little Mercy are very loved by her sponsor

  • After losing her father and being abandoned by her mother, Esther is currently living with her Grandmother while under the care of Gonza House.  Due to poverty, she has missed out on much of her schooling.

Ian Kibwika

Ian had previously been getting help from Gonza House Director Tonny’s Grandmother who was struggling to meet his basic needs. He is a great help with the children and aspires to be a social worker one day.

Mwajibu Nakayenga

Mwajibu Nakayenga she is 7 years old. Mwajibu lost her mother last year. As she was still grieving the loss of their loving mom, their dad abandoned his family. Together with her sister, They are currently staying at the orphanage. Ministry with the hope of someone (sponsor) to bring love and hope.

Beatrice

Beatrice lost her parents at a very young age. Both parents died of HIV/AIDS. Unfortunately, Beatrice got infected with HIV at her birth.She is currently living with her grandmother who cannot afford paying her tuition and provide basic needs. She lacks proper meals sometimes they have to go to bed hungry some nights.

Being HIV positive, she faces many challenges, such as discrimination and stigma. We can see Beatrice is currently experiencing psychological challenges such as anxiety, fear, depression and sadness. She is waiting for a loving Sponsor who can pray for her and come along with her.

Nangobi Vivian

Nangobi Vivian lost her mother to cancer at just two years old and her father passed as well to an unidentified disease.  She is now residing in a foster home and is a very quiet girl.

Kwagala is not yet in school,  has lost both parents in a motorcycle accident on their way back from a burial two years ago.  She is currently living in a foster home.

Mpala Kalinaki

Mpala has no siblings and he currently lives with his blind Grandmother who struggles to meet his basic needs.  He likes to hold his Grandmothers hand and help her get around, although he is very shy to others still.   **Update** Mpala has been enjoying school and slowly coming around to not be so shy.  He has been so loved by his sponsor mom!

Tibajja Gift

Tibajja Gift has lost both of her parents.  She was recently living with her father who took a fall during work and passed away.  No one came to check on her and she was found by a good Samaritan wandering around confused, naked and hungry after her father had not come home from work.   She is currently sleeping at the orphanage in the same bed with caretaker Jessica.

Naigaga Peace

Naigaga Peace has lost both parents to childbirth and cancer.  They were both farmers.  Peace is a very sweet little girl.

Munirwa Sulai

Munirwa Sulai has lost both parents, we do not know much about his family as he was brought in by a good samaritan who was trying to care for him but couldn’t handle the responsibility any longer.  He was left with the family and reassured that help for the boy would be seen.

Nabitereza Angel

Nabitereza Angel lost her parents due to disagreements that led to land wrangles.  She is a simple and loving girl.

Kasigiti Asuman

Kasigiti Asuman is the only survivor in his family after they had been poisoned.  He lives with his uncle near the orphanage and we are still learning more about him.

Salakiiya has several siblings though she is currently full time at the orphanage because her mother is unable to provide for her.  She is sister to Gonza House Staff member Amuza and loves to dance and be the center of attention. 

Jessy stays full time at Gonza House as well.  He was abandoned by his mother who was unable to care for him and then unexpectedly chased away by his Grandfather who also couldn’t manage to care for him.  He manages to smile often no matter how hard his life has been for him!

We ask that you send only small, inexpensive items like pencils, clothes, pens, stickers, bookmarks and small notepads.  However, you can also send money as well and tell us what you would like to purchase for them.  This is especially great for the children when it is their birthday and we will gladly send you photos of their special day too.   Or even better, you can video chat with them and tell them Happy Birthday yourself!

Until they are self sustaining; which means they can get a job and take care of themselves physically and emotionally.

We understand things can be out of our control and you may have to discontinue sponsoring your child, so we will find another sponsor for them. Please continue to correspond with your child. You have built a loving relationship and your letters would be such an encouragement to them.
