Blessings this Fall

Hello everyone!

We are so grateful for your support and prayers. The last two months of October and November have been a blessing to all of us at Gonza House. We are grateful to inform you that our primary 7 candidates Gift Kivumbi, Joy Kaligana and Mercy Mukisa were successfully able to sit for the PLE ( primary Leaving examinations). This was a huge exam for them. Their performances will determine if they can join high school or not. We are very confident that they will pass these exams. We are very happy to have them back for holidays.

We are also very humbled to inform you that our boy Kivumbi Gift who had struggled to clear tuition towards the end of his primary level has found a sponsor. This will be a huge step to help Gift achieve his dreams.

Graduation

We are very happy to share with you that Prosy Nakiyemba finally graduated in tailoring and fashion design! Prosy was one of the first 14 children to sign up under this ministry. However she never got an opportunity to get a sponsor which cut her education journey short and she dropped out of school. She was then stranded at home for three years without finding work. We managed to share her story with Gonza house friends who helped with tuition for this tailoring course. It was a special moment to see her graduate and receive her national certificate. We would like to take this opportunity to thank generous friends who made this possible for this young lady to learn these skills. She says “I thank God for enabling people to support me. Because of this support I was able to study and learn these skills something I never imagined. May God bless each and everyone “.

Workshop

Last month we successfully had a liquid soap making workshop. Children and staff of Gonza House ministries learned how to make liquid detergent . It is one step towards achieving our vision of raising a self sustaining new generation of youth. It is one entrepreneur skill that can help change our community. We thank your volunteer Mama Tendo who made this possible by sharing her knowledge and skills , may God bless you.

Spiritual growth

We are humbled by the Spiritual growth of our children. Every Sunday we gather for prayers and worship which is led by uncle Eddy and other elder staff members. This has helped our children to grow up knowing Jesus as their saviour. It has also helped our children take up leadership in their school choirs Below is one of our own Mercy and Gift Kivumbi leading their fellow students in worship. Such things give us goosebumps

Thanks very much to everyone that is contributing towards Gonza House Ministries, God bless you.
