“We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.” ~ Martin Luther King Jr.

The trials and triumphs that I have witnessed overwhelm Tonny through the years have made their mark on my heart.   Where there is joy and where there is hope there is always a touch of despair and sorrow as well.  This is what I have learned in my own life and experiences but it pales in comparison to what I have learned in the years of knowing Tonny Tumbya, founder and director of Gonza House Ministries.

For every need that is fulfilled for the children there are countless more needs that remain unfulfilled.  As always the children of Gonza and the staff remain humbled and grateful every step along the way.  Most recently the children have had their school book and supply needs met just in time for quarterly classes to begin and we want to sincerely thank each and every one of you.  It has surely taken a village to raise these beautiful children and your generosity and love has meant so much.

The reason I speak of the despair that comes along with being an Orphanage director is because it’s such an important piece of the story that most often times gets overlooked.  Aside from all of these children you see day to day being cared for at Gonza House there’s many more just like them that aren’t able to get any of their needs met.  On a daily basis brothers Tonny and Eddy Tumbya and many of the people of Uganda have had to bear witness to more pain and suffering than any one of us could possibly imagine.  And every single person who reads this plight and donates or simply shares with their friends and family could bring Gonza House Ministries closer to at least changing the life of just one family or child like Beatrice.

|| NEW SCHOOL BUILDING PROGRESS ||

We are excited to announce the beginning of a second school house building at the center thanks to our dear friend Gena who has contributed much to this effort.  Part of the funds also came from a Ugandan and longtime friend of Gonza House who wishes not to be named.

The funds needed to complete this project are roughly $2,000usd for supplies, just $25.00 can go towards the purchase of a desk and we are in need of 20 desks alone which seat five children each!

This particular classroom will house around 60 learners that will be our Grade 3 classroom.    If you wish to contribute to this effort please contact us directly.   Your contributions to help us push forward and grow for our community never cease to amaze us.  It is because of your generosity and kindness that we have been able to touch so many lives in our community.   Together we can move mountains!
