The LORD is my Shepherd…

“The LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters.”
PSALMS‬ ‭23:1-2‬

Please meet one of our new children, Martha Sengeyamu. She in desperate need of a loving sponsor Martha is six years old.  Both of her parents have died and she is now being raised by her uncle who unfortunately is infected with HIV/ AIDS which is making him weak and weaker everyday that it now make it difficult to raise money from his physical carpentry work for her education and basic needs.  Your support would provide her with food security, education and an abundance of love and support.

We have added many new children to HOOL this year.  Please be patient as we coordinate with each other, our documentation and verifying information in order to properly update the website.  If you’re interested in sponsoring please contact us for any questions you may have.

Francis, Nakato and Babiyre we are so happy for you!  They are feeling quite special from the gifts from their loving sponsor families!!

Eggs!!! The first collection of eggs laid by the chickens in our self-sustaining project at HOOL happened already!!   We hope to begin having a larger volume of eggs soon, which will be both a great source of food and a potential as a renewable source of funding for the orphanage. Great thanks to Uncle Edward and everyone else who may have contributed to this project. To God be the glory!

We have also said goodbye to our amazing volunteer Faith! We’ve absolutely loved having you with us for the past three months and it was so sad to see you go!! Thank you for everything that you’ve done for us and thank you for loving our HOOL children. You have left behind so many wonderful memories. We hope we’ll all see you again soon!!
We always love to have volunteers no matter how long or short their stay! Everyone is always welcome at HOOL ministry!!!

Look, who else received gifts! Small things like pencils and a coloring book make children so joyful! Little Mercy was very happy to receive coloring books and pencils from her sponsor mum!
We are very grateful for all sponsors we have!!

Look, whose package made it here today?
We are so happy for you our boy #Isooba #Joshua

Thank you so much to all of our sponsors who do so much to bring love to our children.
A huge thank you also to Sheri for sending funds for firewood for heat and cooking.  Every bit of help and love makes a difference to all of us here!

Good news!
We received a large donation from one of our sponsor families to cover the remaining cost to fix the well. We couldn’t be more grateful (to everyone who donated big or small)!!  We are working towards fundraising for the water pump, please see previous blog (Clean water project) for more information.

We are a little late sharing the latest birthday celebration as well.  So much gratitude to all of the sponsor families who sent gifts and funds to make the children feel so loved and special.  It means so much to them to be able to celebrate each other and enjoy such special occasions.  Life can be so hard here for so many children, but for a brief moment they are able to forget about all of that and just be children for a while.  Thank you all so much!

It’s easy to forget while viewing such happy faces and special celebrations that many children are still awaiting the day they have found their very own sponsor families.  Please remember all the children waiting today and every day and help us in our mission to provide them with the very best love and care that we possibly can.  Most of our beneficieries have experienced things that no child ever should have to and they go to bed at night without any assurance that tomorrow will bring them food, clothes, schooling or a sense of security.  You can make the difference in the life of just one child by sharing your experiences and helping others to love these children just as you have.

“If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.”
1 Corinthians 13:2
