Let us not love with words or speech but with action and in truth. -1 John 3:18
This month has brought us so much to be thankful for and we are really feeling love through so much action and truth. These words ring more true now than ever before. How blessed we consider ourselves to be able to continue God’s work through so many people who have love in their hearts for these children.
First of all we need to take more time to truly recognize EVERYONE who has a heart and helping hand into our cause. Please meet Namukose Amina. Amina has been a part of Hope for Orphans Organization for such a long time! She is the mother of our sweet beneficiary Salakiya. Amina’s love for children is unbelievable, she treats all children as if they are her own. She has worked so hard for this ministry. She loves to come and help with the orphanage work such as cooking whenever there is an event, helping with garden work and looking after animals in our absence. We are so lucky to have her in our HOOL family!
And to people such as our sponsors and supporters. THANK YOU!! We are seeing improvements in our children so much, especially in our girls Babirye and Nakato. They have even found comfort in our kitty Domino and have begun to find contentment and openness with everyone. Soon we hope to capture their beautiful smiles for everyone so you can truly see how far a little love can go for the orphaned children here at HOOL.

In the beginning of October we had our first foster parents meeting of 2019! It was so lovely to see everyone, these people are truly heros to us all!!
We are also so grateful (thank you!) to those who helped financially to see that Eddy was able to get medical care during his recent illness. Eddy is a powerful force of love and light to every single person he meets and having him ill was especially difficult for us all.
Nakato and Babirye are so fortunate to have their HOOL brothers and sisters to walk with them to school, this journey can be difficult and dangerous for the children. Only in our dreams could we imagine the safety of a school bus to bring them to and from.
Happy 8th birthday to our sweet sweet shy Esther. She was so bashful during the celebrations but so much fun was had all around!! Thank you to all sponsor families who provide such a simple joy to the children, it truly inspires us all!
And also a big shout of thanks to our volunteer Faith. She is an amazing young lady who is devoted to Christ with passion of helping children. Thank you so much for sacrificing your time for the sake of the children at HOOL and sharing your love with these children. Every minute you give these little ones is such a huge blessing and a healing to their souls. We truly love our volunteers!!!

A bless’d visit with Grandma. With a lot of responsibilities at HOOL, we haven’t been able to spend enough time comforting her after the loss of her last born daughter (our Aunt). It was really amazing making her laugh finally. Thank you all for your love, support and prayers for our family.
The children OH so excited about food donations!! Can you see just how much this means to them?! This isn’t just food but so much more. Your support is what brings smiles to the faces of children who would otherwise have to go without. Children who have deeper pains in their hearts than most can imagine, are brought comfort in knowing and trusting that there are people out there who love them THIS much. God’s Blessings upon each and every one of you!
The most dreadful part we face on a daily basis is uncertainty as to where and when the next meal or outreach of support will come from. It feels like we are having to ask for help so often and that fills us with fear that people will lose faith in our cause. Taking care of these children is bigger than anything we ever imagined. We don’t just have to find ourselves asking for food donations, but also for firewood, building materials, school fees, transportation, etc. We know well to lay our worries down and trust in the Lord to provide. But we wouldn’t be honest if we said it wasn’t something that causes us stress and despair often. And here we are at the end of October already looking into the next couple of months with those feelings of uncertainty but also with great feelings of HOPE. We know that these children have so many people looking out for them and that somehow, love always finds a way!! So with great HOPE we ask you today to consider helping us towards our years end goals. We are in desperate need still for firewood (75$) for a load to pull us through for a little while would be so appreciated. This is our source for cooking meals for the children and is a very important part of every day life. We have also been given a date in which the office is expected to be finished by, year’s end!! We are still in need of doors, flooring, roofing and plastering. Without the completion of this office we could face a shut down from the Government here. This is one of our greatest priorities at this time.
**Update** Firewood has been donated for, thank you Nick for your devotion to HOOL!! Your friendship means more than we can ever say, truly blessed to know you. God Bless.
And if you can find it in your heart to sponsor a child or encourage a friend to consider sponsoring a child, we will make sure you stay connected with your child and grow and benefit from the love you’d be willing to share. We have been faced with heartbreak from some of our children who have lost their sponsors and can no longer go to school and are left to wonder why this has happened to them.
Salakiiya is a very spirited girl with a heart of gold, the dancing QUEEN of HOOL!! Sponsoring her or any of our children will change their lives forever (and yours!).
Here you can see the true spirit of our little Queen Salakiiya (during one of our birthday celebrations, she’s in the pink dress on the right) she’ll have you smiling for days!!
A big thank you to Sponsor Mom Ashley for yet another fun experience for the children!! Last time it was water beads and this time it was painting. This was a first time experience for the children and they had so much fun! A little bit of love goes a long way!!
Our little Princess JOY is smiling so big and is now happier than ever because she has FINALLY found herself a sponsor. Joy has waited so so long for this moment, she danced and jumped almost to the roof when she got the news!! We pray that this is the beginning of something absolutely magical for her and her sponsor family.
Packages arrived from the US once again!! Along with medicines, candies, and simple joys for the children was this photo book from Sponsor Mom Ashley. Most of the children had not actually touched or held photographs of themselves before. This was such an exciting and special experience for them.
Lastly, we have a very important goal to share with you as well!!
We are planning our Christmas celebration and worship to be held on December 7th. It is in our hearts that we hope to provide a wonderful celebration and meal for our HOOL family and also for the many other children who walk amongst us and live in poverty daily. If you would consider helping us with this goal it would mean so much to everyone here.
And if you’d like send letters/cards/clothes/toys they should reach us by December 7th if they are shipped by the first week in November.
