***Update*** Sophie has received the funds needed to help her during this time.
A Campaign For Sophie
It started as a typical Saturday for Sophie in her grandmother’s home in Waibuga Sub County, Luuka. She was cooking beans as source for her family seven months ago. But at 11am that morning, as she was cooking, her dress got caught up by fire which ended burning almost 90 percent of her body.
Little Sophie screamed loudly for rescue until her neighbors came out and put out the fire. But the girl’s nightmare was just starting. She has been taken from hospital to hospital in order to save her life.
In those first days this little child suffered and was in critical condition. Many of her organs were failing especially the intestines. But at this moment, Thank Jesus that her wounds are healed but unfortunately still unable to walk properly and unfolding her right hand remains a big challenge for her.
Being an orphan, seven year old Namugose Sophie is in search for good Samaritans and well wishers to financially support her so that she goes under a skin graft surgery at CoRSU Rehabilitation Hospital in Entebbe.
She has burn scars from chest, stomach up to the thighs that need surgery so that she may be able to walk properly. Sophie also lacks other basic needs such as clothes, shoes among others.
Right now, the medical bills needed for her is $1500 but unfortunately she has no hope at all because her grandmother doesn’t have this money. This is why Hope for Orphans Organization stuff is trying as much as possible to find resources in order to make sure that this girl gets back her walking ability.
We request good Samaritans to help set up fundraising campaign to raise $1500 that is urgently needed to pay for Sophie’s medical bills
